Princeville Ranch

Conor and I took a very fun horseback tour of Princeville Ranch. The ranch covers 4000 acres of lush North Shore land and is only a quick 5 minute drive from our house. We rode through the ranch's picturesque trails, before dropping off our horses. We then took a short hike through the woods to a waterfall.

Gubby, our tour guide, teaches me how to mount my horse. She was great!

Conor rode a gorgeous mahogany horse named Copper:

My horse's name was Casper. Can you guess why?

Some nice views from the trails:

It's no wonder that Kauai is nicknamed the 'Garden Isle':

We took a short hike to this waterfall, where we swam, played in the waterfall, and had lunch:
Using a gorilla-like stance, Mr. N is first to approach the waterfall:
Afterwards, we hiked back to the horses. This required crossing a stream and scaling a short rock wall. This was all done with an unnecessary safety harness that the ranch required for liability purposes.

Our hike ended with one last waterfall, and we then walked up the hill to meet our horses and head back to the ranch. The four hour tour was more fun than we expected!

Video footage of me dismounting Casper. I'm not a cowgirl quite yet.
