Spouting Horn

Spouting Horn is a popular destination on the South Shore. It's a small lava shelf where water from waves is thrust through an opening, causing water and air to squirt vertically out a blowhole. An adjacent hole in the shelf blows only air, which makes a loud moaning, gasping sound. We visited this site with Megan and Chris on our way to dinner in Poi'pu. The ocean was fairly calm during our visit, but when the surf is rougher the water can get much higher. Still, the video below gives you the basic idea. You can also hear Conor's nemesis, Mr. Pecker, crowing in the background halfway through.
